Using Candles For Your Wedding Limousine

Posted by Timothy on

So in case you were hiding under a rock during the last week or you don’t know how to read, you’ve understood that this site is all about candles but more specifically wedding candles. Since you all have been so supportive since the launch of the site and through the days that we’ve been posting interesting articles, today I have an extra treat for you.

We are going to talk about preparing your wedding limousine, for your wedding day. I won’t try and become a designer expert on everything limousines, but what I will tell you is that candles and limousines are the best combination you can get. Think about it! You are ready to head over to the ceremony and you get into a great white limousine that has some very aromatic candles creating a nice atmosphere for you and making you feel nice. Or you add some candles as decoration on the outside of the limo (let the relatives make some bets if the handles will go out?) I mean there are just so many things you can do on your wedding day, if you use your imagination.

To be honest, the combination of a candle and a limo was not my idea. I in fact have no idea when it comes to limousines (not even how much they go for.) However someone I was chatting with on a forum who is the owner of Columbia Limo Service gave me this idea and thought I might as well steal it and put it on this blog. He said he started this new approach to weddings a few years ago as a way to make things a little bit more interesting, than the boring common way of riding to the wedding ceremony. The idea was produced by a suggestion from a client actually: a couple wanted a custom limousine with some extra features added to it (like special decoration) and one of the things they really felt strongly about was wedding candles.

Making Wedding Candles On Your Own

Posted by Timothy on

So in this post, I will try and give you an idea (some suggestions) on how to make a wedding decoration, using a candle and some other interesting decorating items (that I will talk about shortly.) Put on your DIY helmet and let’s do this!

What you will need to make your wedding candle, is a pillar candle, a strip of race and a a selection ribbons. Ribbons come in a variety of different finishes. So I’ve got a white satin ribbon, a skinning second ribbon and some organza ribbon. You can pick any color that you like – work with various shades. What we are going to do is secure the candles using a hot glue gun. Hot glue is a fast way to keep decorations together securely.

So the first thing we want to do is put the candle on top of the lace, and start rapping the lace all around. What I’m going to do is use a few dabs of glue just to secure it in place. You are going to need to leave it for a few minutes (to dry.) Now we need to start working on the ribbons. The easiest way to do is to lay the largest ribbon down flat, then the next ribbon will go on top of it and finally the thinnest one will be placed on the top. Once that is done, make sure you take your glue gun and you start gluing them in place (one ribbon at a time.) Also you want to make sure that the you place small glue spots on the ribbons (to not make a mess and make it more complicated for you.) Then just work your way across the ribbons with these small spots of glue that you will use. So that is just going to hold all the ribbons in place so that you get a nice light effect. Then take the center part of the ribbon and press it in place on the candle.

Creating a wedding budget (that includes candles)

Posted by Timothy on

So let’s say your wedding day has been set (or not) and you are trying to work around the financials of a wedding. Understandably one of the most important parts of it…

How do you go about scheduling the expenses of the wedding? In other words, how do you make sure you distribute the available cash so that it is equally spread out and you don’t have just a fancy cake, but a crappy event room? Do you need a financial adviser? Well…no. But you do need something, and that is common sense.

Our second and most exciting article!

Posted by Timothy on

Yes, excitement seems to be the theme of the day. We have been trying to launch our site for quite some time now, so achieving this is like a huge milestone for us. No, we are not working on a deadline or set budget. In fact, we don’t even make money off this. We just enjoy helping couples prepare for their special wedding day that they will so much remember for years to come. And because it is an event they will remember for so long, we want to make sure it is as perfect as it gets. So in other words, our deadline is your wedding day. Think of how many couples get married every single day. If we can reach someone before disaster strikes, then we have done our job.

Welcome to Wedding Candle

Posted by Timothy on

I think it’s pretty self explanatory…I mean the subject around this site will spin. Wedding Candles but most importantly: Your wedding candles!

I know you are probably thinking: gee, just another candle. But in fact these are not! These are the finest Egyptian made candles you will find in the world. This is more of a forum to discuss our tastes on candles. I know wedding season is approaching, so if a bride (or groom – you are welcome too) feels like she doesn’t have any idea where to start, this is one good place.

Building a community that is obsessed and fascinated with candles is my goal. I want people to breathe and live candles and share their personal experiences. Aromatic candles are the best I think! I mean if no aroma is in the air, you are better off lighting a torch, right? (kidding)

So yeah, definitely stay tuned to what will be presented to you in the upcoming days. In fact we might as well make another post today, just for the sake of it. So keep an eye out!
